5 Good And Bad Things That Happen When You Stop Eating Meat

1. You lose weight. A team at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, USA recently tried to pinpoint how much weight a person loses if they switch from being a non-vegetarian to a vegetarian. The study, which reviewed previous studies and was published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, showed that participants who cut meat out of their diets lost around 10 pounds on average without monitoring their calorie intake or increasing the amount they exercised. "The take-home message is that a plant-based diet can help you lose weight without counting calories and without ramping up your exercise routine," Neal Barnard, M.D., lead author of the study and an adjunct associate professor of medicine at the George Washington University, said at the time. 2. Your gut bacteria will change. You are what you eat, and that relates to your digestive system as much as any other part of your body. A 2014 study exploring the difference between the gut bacteria found in non-vegetarians, vegans and vegetarians found differences in all three. However, the biggest variation was between non-vegetarians and vegans, who don't consume any animal products whatsoever. Researchers at City University of New York found that vegans had more protective species of gut bacteria. 3. You could become deficient in nutrients. A balanced vegetarian or vegan diet can provide enough nutrients with enough planning. But it can be harder to get enough iron and Vitamins B12 and D, according to the National Health Service (NHS), UK. The body recommends eating plenty of pulses, such as beans and lentils, nuts, fruits, dark green vegetables, whole grains, and cereals with fortified irons to get enough iron. Vitamin B12 can be found in yeast extract products such as fortified breakfast cereals and soya products. Eggs, fortified fat spreads, cereals and some types of milk can be a source of Vitamin D. 4. Your risk of developing cancer could drop... A recent World Health Organization (WHO) report classed processed meats as carcinogenic, and so products such as bacon and salami found themselves categorised alongside formaldehyde, gamma radiation and cigarettes. Red meat was also labelled as "probably" having cancer causing properties. Eating just a 50g portion of processed meat - or two rashers of bacon a day - increases the risk of bowel cancer by 18 per cent, the experts concluded. However, others believe the risk is not as serious as that. 5. ...as well as your chance of having heart disease. Scientists recently found that red meat is linked to heart disease. A study by Lerner Research Institute in the US showed that carnitine, a nutrient found in the meat, sets off gut microbe reactions that contribute to the development of heart disease.

15 Easily Forgotten Life Lessons

Spread positivity with small gestures and watch the world be positive in return. 2. Having a self-worth that reflects well on yourself will stop that perception and help you view others actions as positive towards yourself. 3. Separating yourself from the situation makes the solution easier to see When youre head first in a situation and feeling backed up against a wall, finding a solution can be impossible. There is a plan for each of us, and sometimes that plan has a few bumps. 8. Approach life with a smile If you smile at the world, the world will smile back at you. 9. Mean people arent mean, theyre hurt No one is born naturally mean. Those that act rudely towards others are trying to cope with their own hurt, so be kind to those who treat you horribly. They need it. 10. A step back is healthy in a relationship When youre in the early stages of any relationship its all too easy to jump in and lose yourself. Take some time to clear your head and reflect on where the relationship is going. It will help your relationship in the long run. 11. Every success deserves celebration It doesnt matter whether you won the Nobel Peace Prize or just finished filing your taxes, take the time to celebrate all your successes. 12. Remind people how much they mean to you Promote good relations with those in your life by reminding them how much they mean to you. Send them a note or even an email. Keeping those relations is important in having a well-rounded life.

11 Easy Ways To Boost Your Confidence

Regardless of the source of the moodiness, these tips can help: 1. Try to be understanding. Some people are simply going through a difficult time. Teenagers are prone to all sorts of hormonal issues that make managing their emotions challenging. Sometimes people are depressed, sick, tired, or chronically upset about something in their lives. It’s important to attempt to be understanding during these times. However, some people are simply bullies and use their moodiness to get what they want from others. Read on for strategies for dealing with this type of moodiness. 2. Take a break. If you’re forced to live or work with a moody person, give yourself a break at regular intervals. Go do something fun and get away for a bit. Find a non-moody person to talk to for 15 minutes. Dealing with moody people can be exhausting. 3. Stay calm. There’s no reason to get upset. Nine times out of ten, you’ve probably done nothing wrong. Others are generally moody for reasons that have nothing to do with you directly. You don’t have to solve the moodiness or allow it to make you feel bad. 4. It might be best to consider removing the person from your life. If you’re dealing with someone that always seems to dictate the mood around them, they are controlling. If your patience, concern, and advice don’t seem to have any effect, and they are making you miserable, consider removing them from your life. Any relationship should consist of both people giving and taking. If you’re always giving and they’re always taking, why are still spending time with them? 5. Avoid falling into the trap. Moody people stay moody because it helps them to get what they want. Others allow them to have their way in order to keep the peace. But giving in on a short-term basis only increases your challenge in the long term. If you reward them, they’re much less likely to change. 6. Learn to ignore the negative mood. Pretend the other person isn’t moody at all. Just go about your day as if nothing were wrong. We can’t control others, but we can control our reactions to them. With practice, it becomes easier than you think. 7. Address the behavior. Sometimes you can put an end to moodiness by letting them know that you’re onto their game. This can be as simple as asking, “I’ve noticed you’re irritable a lot. Why is that?” The last thing a moody person wants is for their moodiness to become a topic in itself. They want to use it as a tool. 8. Be sensitive to those that are moody due to dealing with a significant challenge in life. Some people simply need sympathy and understanding. Those that use moodiness as a means to manipulate are a different story. 9. Avoid rewarding these bullies by having some personal boundaries. Don’t let their moods affect the choices you make. Learn to act as if there were no moodiness at all. Letting these folks have their way is a huge mistake. You’re only encouraging the behavior to continue in the future. 10.The moodiness of others doesn’t have to have a huge impact on you. 11. Use these strategies to effectively deal with their negative moods so they don’t become a challenge in your own life.

Tips on Filling Fuel in Your Vehicles

ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR VEHICLES IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening.... Your litre is not exactly a litre. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps. WHEN YOU'RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created, while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can Imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount. ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.

You Know Why Women Ask For Sex

‘Men think, while women desire.’ Gone are the days when ‘demanding sex’ was considered exclusively a man’s forte. Today women demand sex greater than men. And they have no qualms about getting vocal about it. “I read these funny E-mail forwards that stress on men begging for sex and women denying it. It sounds so funny to me. It’s totally the opposite in my case. While men can have a good laugh over it believing that this notion exists, I literally have to pursue my husband to get him hooked on to the act,” quips production assistant Megha Mehra. And she is not alone. Many girls/women had a similar story. We spoke to women from different backgrounds to figure out what is making them addicted to sex. It’s physically pleasurable Amongst all the other reasons to remain glued to sex, this is the most prominent one. Good sex satisfies your physical urge, which is very normal for anyone to experience. Psychologist Seema Naina opines, “Sex is the most basic need of any person. And I am increasingly getting cases where women are complaining that men are unable to satisfy their physical needs.” Creates positive feelings about oneself Ideally, great sex means you are enjoying the sexual act and participating equally. It makes you feel good about yourself, thus adding to your self esteem. Shares housewife Neelam Nehra, “When my husband comes back from a whole day at work and we have our sack session, it increases my self esteem. The very feeling that I am able to satisfy him is a great pleasure. And since I never want to go out of shape to look unappealing to my husband (and other men), it even acts as a motivation to work out and feel desirable.” Wondering why? “Sex has healing powers. It generates positive emotions and makes one feel more confident. When a woman sees her man passionate in the act, admiring her body and moves, it infuses a lot of good feelings within her,” opines psychologist Sunaina Bajaj. Brings them closer to their man Physical intimacy releases hormone Oxytocin, which is also known as the love hormone. Agrees relationship expert Vandana Mitra, “I have always maintained that couples should never take sex casually. It’s a very important ingredient for any relationship to sustain. It helps couples to nurture the relationship and strengthen the bond.” So whoever said having more sex with your partner means lesser cases of infidelity, made sense. Content developer Prachi Sinha states, “I feel a major connect with my boyfriend after we make love. I just feel like being close to him. My faith in him and our relationship grows stronger.” Prachi’s boyfriend agrees, “When she told me about the 7 days a week sex, I initially could not stop laughing. I mean, this is not the only thing we have to do. But honestly it has got us closer. I just can’t take my eyes off her even when we are moving in a crowd.” Negates unwanted emotions/ Stress-reliever Sex is not just a physical sensation but it’s comforting and relaxing. Call centre executive Neetu Sharma shares her experience, “Whenever I have a bad day at work, sex really helps me unwind. It totally takes the stress out of my mind and makes me feel relaxed and rejuvenated.” Psychologist Reena Kapur explains why. “Sex involves a lot of deep breathing and touching and the hormones that are released during the act calm you down.” Great form of exercise Thirty minutes of sex burns more than 85 calories. We have read it almost everywhere that sex helps in burning calories. Confirms fitness consultant Stuti Batra, “While I do not suggest giving up work outs, doubling up the session makes you drop more weight.” While this is the most deadly mix, many girls are seriously taking to it. “It may sound a little funny, but while making love I prefer to play the dominant role. It helps me burn greater calories, leaving my guy in ecstasy,” says Payal Verma. Invokes passion “Sometimes I feel like a pervert, because I find myself always thinking about my boyfriend, and what we did the night before. It gives me a kick and makes me crave for our next sack session. He thinks I am crazy, but it really happens to me,” shares call centre executive Richa Sharma. “It is completely normal to think about sex. But I have heard it can freak a guy out- we men are still adapting to the concept of women demanding sex more than us. But we love that passion,”

Why Should I Analyze My Thoughts:

Why Should I Analyze My Thoughts: Quality of thoughts determines the level of peace of mind. Negative thoughts result in negative acts which in turn causes distraction in emotions, unstable behavior, frequent mood swings, family complications, lack of trustworthiness, financial mistakes, professional brawls and so on. Healthy thoughts result in more positive outcomes, high happiness index, better health and so on. So all in all your thoughts are defining your present and your future. There are several reasons for negative thoughts including but not limited to your circumstances, your brought up, financial situations, family conflicts, job and family complications. While you may not be able to fix these reasons, it is highly recommended to analyze your thoughts and mitigate the negative impact as much as possible. If you remove the impurities from your thoughts you would be able to have a positive, focused and prosperous mind. How to Analyze My Thoughts: If you have seen a big aquarium, you must have noticed that the fish keep wandering here and there continuously. From right to left, bottom to up, here and there; all day long. They don't seem to be getting any specific advantage while doing so. Same is the case with human mind. When your head is on the pillow, your brain starts wandering here and there. Several times it is processing the thoughts which shouldn't be the point of concern at all. Though fish do not know this but you can control your wandering of brain by picking up a specific thought/subject and ask these questions: a) Why am I thinking about this subject? Is this subject related to others? Why am I thinking negative about someone? I should mind my own business. b) What exactly is the issue? Is this something impacting (or going to impact) me or my family? Can I define my issue/question in one sentence clearly so that I can focus on the solution? c) How: can I resolve this issues? Is this doable? If not, can I take advice from others?. If I have the solution then what are the steps which needs to be taken? How Can I Improve the standard of my Thoughts: a) Avoid thinking about unnecessary things specially related to others. Mind your own business. Posses a focused mind. b) Stop comparing yourself to others. It's an insult to yourself. You are a unique soul and you are independent on your living, your decisions and your destiny. c) Don't think of monetary gains too much. Excessive love for money and assets is the root of most of stresses. Work on your real wealth. d) Develop the habit of forgiving and letting things go off. If you are keeping the grudge in your brains for longer durations, you are killing yourself. Stress is a slow poison which deepens its roots your brain and destroy your physical and mental health. e) Read quality quotes or articles on positivity and try to absorb the message. This will kill the germs of negativity. f) Practice the habit of gratitude. Stop complaining, criticizing and blaming. When a negative thought comes in, convert it to positive by looking at the positive side of the issue. g) Instead of thinking about your 'wants' too much, think about your needs. This will reduce the magnitude of your focus because usually needs are limited but wants are too many. Adapt simple life style as it reduces unnecessary socio-economical issues.

How To Develop Motivation in Your Everyday Life

First, let's find out what the importance of motivation exactly is. Simply put, motivation is that driving force which allows you to achieve your goals and go after what you want in life. If you want to change your personality for the better, get a promotion at work, start a new habit, be a better person who is part of the community, become a better parent for your kid – all of these things would be easier accomplished if you are properly motivated. As long as you have a strong personal motivation, you can achieve almost anything that you want from life. However, remember not to fall into the trap of looking for short-cuts to achieve your goals. It's perfectly fine if you have to take a long and winding road to achieve your goal. It will be an even sweeter victory when you finally achieve your goal, knowing that you have had to go through several hurdles to attain it. Developing Motivation in Life So how can you develop motivation in life? If you wish to accomplish a goal – be it short-term or long-term in nature – how can you find it in you to be properly motivated? Here are a few things that you should keep in mind: 1. Focus on one goal at a time. This should be partnered with the fact that you should make sure that your short-term goals all help in achieving your long-term goals. One of the best ways for you to focus on one goal at a time is to make a diary of your goals – yes, write it down – so that you will have a visual representation of the things that you want to achieve rather than letting it all get lost in your head. 2. Get rid of all the distractions which might prevent you from achieving your goal. Let's say that you are a writer who wants to finish a book. How can you type away on your keyboard one chapter after another if there are many distractions surrounding you like television, friends chattering away or the lure of aimlessly browsing through the Internet. In order for you to stay properly motivated, make sure to steer clear of any distractions. 3. Completely block out any negative influences. Finally, make sure that you are completely blocking out any negative influences in your life. If you feel that you are being distracted from your goal by a problem which does not seem to go away, ask yourself what you can do to eliminate such a challenge and distraction in your life. Maybe you are being sidetracked by negative thoughts and feelings because you have no faith in yourself. Addressing the root of the problem, completely blocking out any negative distractions and thinking purely positive thoughts is the best way for you to develop motivation in your everyday life. Constantly Work At Motivating Yourself A goal doesn't do you much good unless you are constantly thinking about, and working towards it. Write down your goal and place it somewhere that you will see it at least 1-2 times a day. If you have a weight loss goal, place your written goal beside the refrigerator. If your goal is to get physically stronger, place your written goal near your weight bench so you can see it when you are working out. This provides the extra motivation you need for those tough days. A great way to motivate yourself with business goals is to put up a motivational quote beside your desk. Do a Google search for motivational quotes, then print off one and put it inside of a picture frame. Keep it there and read it occasionally throughout the day. Whenever you find yourself not looking at the quote anymore, or it no longer provides the inspiration that it once did, it's time to change the quote. It's perfectly OK to change this quote every 1-2 weeks for maximum motivation. Some people make a habit of reading their goals either when they first wake up or right before they go to bed. When you read your goals upon arising, you may begin to notice that you find yourself doing more each day to help you reach your goals. Similarly, when you read your goals right before bed, you may notice that you wake up with good ideas that you never thought of before. Final Thoughts It's important to have motivation in your life. Motivation is the fuel that you need to continue striving for your goals. Soak up motivating things in your life on a daily basis. Read great books that will inspire you. Read great blogs that are both positive and informative. It's human nature to have days where you aren't very motivated. However, if you continue to surround yourself with positive and motivational things, those days will be few.

I decided to send it to more, Because I didn't WAnt to limit blessings.

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON

Everyday, each waking hour upon opening your eyes, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? What is the first thing that you tend to do? Does it come to your mind immediately how you're going to spend your day? I'll surely get different responses with these questions as we all have different mind sets.

As for me, my day unfolds slowly. I am not always sure what is in store for me every time I start my day. I'm not much of a very organized person in terms of schedule. My motto has always been to live each day as it is. Work, eat, sleep and be merry for tomorrow is always another day. Each day is different from yesterday.

Each day is an adventure. We'll meet new people, we'll encounter new situations, we will experience something new. Our ability to respond to these new things will reveal how our day goes. And most importantly, our character plays a very big part in dealing with these unexpected events that may happen during the day.

When I encounter a situation that I am unable to handle, who do you think I turn to? I may not be a very religious person but I'll tell you that I immediately look up above to the One out there. I talk to God and listen to Him because I believe that by His faith and guidance, He will let me come out of the situation as a victor. The peacefulness that I feel in His presence guides my heart and helps me to decide on the right thing to do.

I consider trials as my teachers and guides because trials are the reason that makes me strong and steadfast, as well as the love manifested to me by the people close to my heart. Trials makes me more patient and understanding. They also help me to persevere more into improving myself and my life.

Sometimes when I feel depressed, I try to encourage myself not to lose hope. I need to understand that there is a purpose for trials. I always tell myself that He would not give us something that we could not endure. During these times, I just close my eyes and feel His peace that is beyond one's understanding and whenever I do that, I feel revitalized and strong once again.

My unwavering faith in the Lord inspires my heart to carry on and accept challenges as they come to my life. Like in the story of The Footprints in the Sand, I know that the Lord always carried me during those times that I could no longer walk and stand up with all the problems and the burdens I was carrying on my shoulder.

Yes, I did think of doing the unthinkable. I tried to make a fool out of myself. When I was down and I thought that all my efforts in making life better were just wasted, I have thought that death was the only release from my never ending dilemmas. But He always pulled me out from the deep pit of darkness.

As I've said, I am not a very religious person, nor I am a devout Catholic but I can say that I am close to God. He helps me to keep calm and collected in times of adversities and He has always shown His love and guidance to me. I may be down, but with Him I have nowhere to go but up.

When all else fails, when everything is vanished, GOD REMAINS. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. The Lord moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. From time to time, we need to sit quietly, or take a walk, allow our spirits to roam...God's love will find us.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me."

in search of perfection...

We’ve grown up in a society that regularly tells us that we’re not good enough a...nd that we can’t have that which we seek. Be it financial success, happiness or health, the message is continually reinforced that we are missing something essential. Subsequently we convince ourselves that obtaining the missing piece will bring us to that which we seek. As a result of this line of thinking, we want to believe others who tell us that they know how we can obtain what is missing. Thus the world is full of get-rich schemes, happiness prescriptions and miracle cures.
What is truly missing is the awareness that we already possess everything we need to obtain that which we seek. God is perfect and a perfect God is surely capable of producing perfect life. You are the result of that perfection and possess everything you need. Discovering the tools that are already within you is all that is needed to realize your potential in this life. With this, you already have within yourself the path to healing for yourself and others. Following this path only requires that you open up to your true self. - Darwin Stephenson, from my book Inspiration DivineSee More

THIS IS WHAT WE COULD LIFE!

Sometimes people come into our life & we know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach us a lesson, or help su figure out who we are or who we want to become we never know who these people may be (possibly our roommate, neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger), but when we
lock eyes with them, we know at the very moment that they will affect our life in some profound way.
and sometime things will happen to us that may seem horrible, painful, & unfair at first, but in reflection we find that without overcoming these obstacles that we would have never realized our true potential, strength, will power, or heart
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by mean of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness & sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without this small test, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe & comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.
The people that we meet who affect our life, and the success and downfalls we experience, help to create who we are and who we will become Even the bad experiences are learned from. In fact, they are the most poignant ones.
If someone hurts us, betrays us, or breaks our heart, forgive them for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when we open our heart. If someone loves us, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love us, but because in a way, they are teaching us to love & how to open our heart & eyes to things.
Make everyday count. Appreciate every moment & take from those moments everything we could possibly can for we may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people that we have never talked to before & actually listen... Let yourself fall in love again, break free, and set our sights high. Hold our head up because we have every right too.
Tell ourself that we are a great individual & believe in ourself. For if we don't believe in ourself, it will be hard for others to believe in us. We can make our life anything we wish.....Create our own life & then go out & live it with absolutely NO REGRETS. Most importantly, if we love someone tell him or her, for you NEVER know what tomorrow may have in store. And learn a lesson in life each day we live.
Today is the tomorrow we were worried about yesterday.... Was it worth it?

Why Intelligent People Fail

Why Intelligent People Fail

1.Lack of motivation. A talent is irrelevant if a person is not motivated to use it. Motivation may be external (for example, social approval) or internal (satisfaction from a job well-done, for instance). External sources tend to be transient, while internal sources tend to produce more consistent performance.

2.Lack of impulse control. Habitual impulsiveness gets in the way of optimal performance. Some people do not bring their full intellectual resources to bear on a problem but go with the first solution that pops into their heads.

3.Lack of perserverance and perseveration. Some people give up too easily, while others are unable to stop even when the quest will clearly be fruitless.

4.Using the wrong abilities. People may not be using the right abilities for the tasks in which they are engaged.

5.Inability to translate thought into action. Some people seem buried in thought. They have good ideas but rarely seem able to do anything about them.

6.Lack of product orientation. Some people seem more concerned about the process than the result of activity.

7.Inability to complete tasks. For some people nothing ever draws to a close. Perhaps it’s fear of what they would do next or fear of becoming hopelessly enmeshed in detail.

8. Failure to initiate. Still others are unwilling or unable to initiate a project. It may be indecision or fear of commitment.

9.Fear of failure. People may not reach peak performance because they avoid the really important challenges in life.

10.Procrastination. Some people are unable to act without pressure. They may also look for little things to do in order to put off the big ones.

11.Misattribution of blame. Some people always blame themselves for even the slightest mishap. Some always blame others.

12.Excessive self-pity. Some people spend more time feeling sorry for themselves than expending the effort necessary to overcome the problem.

13. Excessive dependency. Some people expect others to do for them what they ought to be doing themselves.

14.Wallowing in personal difficulties. Some people let their personal difficulties interfere grossly with their work. During the course of life, one can expect some real joys and some real sorrows. Maintaining a proper perspective is often difficult.

15.Distractibility and lack of concentration. Even some very intelligent people have very short attention spans.

16.Spreading oneself too think or too thick. Undertaking too many activities may result in none being completed on time. Undertaking too few can also result in missed opportunities and reduced levels of accomplishment.

17.Inability to delay gratification. Some people reward themselves and are rewarded by others for finishing small tasks, while avoiding bigger tasks that would earn them larger rewards.

18. Inability to see the forest for the trees. Some people become obsessed with details and are either unwilling or unable to see or deal with the larger picture in the projects they undertake.

19.Lack of balance between critical, analytical thinking and creative, synthetic thinking. It is important for people to learn what kind of thinking is expected of them in each situation.

20.Too little or too much self-confidence. Lack of self-confidence can gnaw away at a person’s ability to get things done and become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Conversely, individuals with too much self-confidence may not know when to admit they are wrong or in need of self-improvement.
